probably the best post of this thread.....Nobody noticed this post apparently.

If Falling asleep in your truck WHILE PARKED can make an example out of you when a catastophe happens.......Don't Want it

leave the Whole HOS Bull out of this- This Driver wasn't trying to hurt or Kill anyone- No Malice whatsoever- Yet being treated like a Criminal-

Police should have made sure EVERYONE was moving after the delay- BLAME THEM- Of Course not- Country bunch of Followers anymore- Me,me,me...

Risk vs reward doesn't line up- Yet,The Sheeple don't think about anything but the next mortgage payment that's due. So they'll do whatever it takes

I Disagree with everyone thinking the Trucker should be to Blame- The Guy Shouldn't even be bothered anymore over this- He Did Nothing Wrong To Be a classified a Murderer

Give Him a Few log Fines- Obstructing traffic whatever- Even suspend his CDL until he learns to co-operate with HOS laws....but Incriminate??? Not on my watch

You flattered me thank you. Glad to have found another thinker... He did nothing to deserve going to prison for murder... Or to prison at all...

That's one of the reasons it made me want to leave this industry. I'm like, any day now, because of someone else, I can go spend the rest of my life in a cage... No thanks.

Apparently neither of you understand basic legal principles.
    • The truck driver had egregiously violated his HOS and should not have been anywhere near the scene of the accident.
    • The truck driver was parked in the dark in a travel lane on an Interstate. I'm going to guess he probably didn't have any lights on either.
    • Regardless of the truck driver's intentions, 12 innocent people and one idiot bus driver died.
    • The truck driver was grossly negligent and should go to jail for the rest of his life.
You use that word, but I know you don't know what it means.

The bus driver died, so that would be why no charges filed against him.

Back near the start of this. Georgia will not be extraditing the driver to Cali. Cali will be extraditing the driver to their state.

Risk doesn't equal reward. So true. That is why I would like to get out.

The cops should have seen to it that all the traffic lanes were clear of stopped traffic before dropping the green flag. I wonder where the CHP was parked who was talking to the driver parked in a travel lane. He and the CHP should be held accountable.

So we gotta make those charges up by putting them on the truck driver?

    Really? We obviously disagree here...........
Ok,The Driver had log violations..SO WHAT!! You and me Both had them at 1 time or another.
Grossly Negligent?? Yeah, being Tired and going to sleep

Why didn't Law enforcement wake the guy up to get traffic moving? Your too young to remember But in the 70's and 80's...Police that served the highway systems made sure Traffic moved after a delay- PEOPLE DO FALL ASLEEP.

So, You think he should go to jail for life for not doing a log correctly and falling asleep causing a coach bus to run into it-?

Hmmm..........Now I Know some folks have completely Lost it-

SheepDog, lovesthedrive and Dharok Thank this.
