Try again bud. Retired UPS driver...plenty of others make the money too. 60 hours a week, never owned a truck.....home ever night.
This looks like recruiter BS, am I right?

It should be illegal to use puffery like this to lure in job hunters. I generally despise any regulation the government hands down but I'd support a ban on these type of predatory ads that so many companies use.

A retired driver spending his days on an internet forum telling everyone how much money he made. Nothing better to do I guess.
These boards are full of recruiters and safety departments who spew out numbers that just don't exist.
Large carriers rely on turnover to keep wages low. If they can suck in drivers while promising big money then it's a win for them either way......even though those wages don't exist.
If the money existed out here that some drivers are boasting about, why is there a so called driver shortage?
If there are companies paying peanuts how are other companies able to remain in business while paying these lofty wages without seeing rate cuts?
Again. Most guys on here are simply lying about how good wages are and new drivers eat up those empty promises. -

This is exactly why there are so many #### jobs out there. Instead of putting time in, doing research, and getting good work everyone just wants to take the get rich tomorrow because of a driver shortage Craigslist ad.... ####ing sad.....but if you are too lazy to look for a job and build yourself up to where you can get it I guess you deserve to be living in a metal fart coffin for pennies.

Food service work pays really well for relatively little, you just need a good spine to do it.
When I was dedicated to MBM/Darden of Aberdeen, I worked 4 Red Lobster Deliveries in the NE each weekend for almost a thousand net. The rest of the week belonged to me. And since it was home, it worked out all around.
One time hiring on to a pizza dough service company delivering into DC and others, I was rejected because I was too small at 6 foot and around 150, I was in a room with about 50+ 250's and on up 6 and half feet were common. Just like you do not put a litter puppy into a dogsled team. its not a good fit.
The manager made a hiring decision not to hire me, however that kind of work related to trucking and lumping was all I did until them. No biggie I was over it in a hurry anyway. Just need a few years to season and gain weight.
