Sometimes deadly stretches of road aren't as apparently dangerous as you think. My insurance company just sent me a newsletter with an article featuring the deadliest roads. I would have never guessed the deadliest stretch of interstate: I-90 in Montana. Go figure. They mentioned that wait times for ambulances can be long on those lonely stretches. Combine that with lower than average use of seat belts and higher than average blood alcohol content and it becomes deadly.

There's something going on with that stretch of I-40 that makes drivers wreck there. I-24 between Monteagle Mountain and Chattanooga has its fair share of accidents as well.
