My DD15 uses a cartridge filter, always wondered how those stack up against a spin on filter.

Ya, but I live in Santa Barbara and don’t want to placard a load for that. LOL

Six's comments remind me. When I was little 'the dads' kept some of the old oil back for use in floor sweep (on wood shavings to sweep dusty basement and garage floors) and in old glass mayo jars for putting handtools when there was rust starting and in a bucket on the floor where there'd be lumpy metal parts submerged. Then some went to starting woodstoves and the rest got poured on dirt driveways and roads to keep the dust down. Probably none of that applies to your modern life but there might be some other uses if you think out of the box.
Just not hand soaking lol. Not healthy to absorb directly into skin...

My Dad and uncles were crop dusters. They'd save the used oil from the planes and, with a home made spreader rig in the back of a pickup, spray our dirt runway to keep the dust down. If there was any left they'd spray fence lines to keep weeds under control. They did that for years.
LOL...if they caught us doing that these days they'd probably wouldn't bother with a trial, just take us out and shoot us. California has no sense of humor any more.

My Uncle used to paint the fence with it. Soak fence posts before burying, never rot. Other Uncle poured it around his house. Claimed Termites won’t cross it.

@otterinthewater You could check with city or county web sites for hazardous waste disposal locations. Our county transfer station will accept waste oil. Maybe one near you does.

The autozone in Santa Barbara says they’ll take it. I won’t hold my breath though.

    Lumper Humper Thanks this.

Looks like I’m a stones throw away from being done with getting my truck on to Landstar. In the mean time I’m heading home for a break. I should hopefully have the news today that something needs to be resent, re-done Which seems to always be the case at LS.

Lumper Humper and dwells40 Thank this.
