This will NEVER work.

I was looking for some answers here. I found nothing. Everyone wants to fly banners, make signs, and stand around talking about how to get the public involved. Well, thats not giving the public ANY new information. The public is already involved. We are truck drivers and the public. Everyone knows this stuff and feels the the same way. We all feel the effect whether you drive a truck or not. This should have been done long ago. The best opinion I got was to keep calling your congressmen. That one is funny! OK, you want to be peaceful. That's understandable. If you can't get the big companies to shut down, we are wasting our time. I know the big companies can't move all of the freight but, I would say they control most of it anyway. Most of you don't have your authority and are leased to a big company. That's being someone's fuel ticket. That's all. We won't get even 15% OR less of all the trucks to shut down. The railroad can cover that EASY. We can't even get a single date when to do this. Who's going to be our voice? Do you think the oil companies and the government will just figure it out? I think they will find another way to skin the cat. I have lived though this several times. Nothing EVER becomes of it. Nobody seems to like the term unionize. So, we all will be individuals working for our individual goal. That doesn't work. Look where we are at. I'm going the predict the future. Fuel will keep going up and if you are happy working just for fuel, you will be OK. If not, you will be out of business soon. The exception to this will be the guys that can afford to park and wait until you are broke. After most are broke those guys will start trucking again at a good rate. There will only be a handful of them, though. In simple and short terms.....This is the way it is and this is the way it will stay. This is the way the government wants it. They aren't worried about you and me. They have all the big companies in their back pocket. We don't have what it takes anymore. We lost it in the 70's. I have had bad feedback on my ideas. LOL, that's OK. Since there are more of you than me, I will succumb to the majority. You all do this the way you THINK it will work and I will watch knowing your outcome.
