Thought I would do a thread on my on going jb hunt experience

I used to work for a local company where from. Delivering lumber. I drove a set of maxi trailers. 40 ft lead with a 22 ft pup. I made $16 an hour. 12-14 hour day Monday thru Friday . No overtime. And some of the days I had to pull off taps and roll them in almost 100° days.
That's the most I could make. No matter what. I had to leave. Working myself to nothing. My weekends consisted of wanting to sleep the whole time but I had barn chores. So I could never get my sleep back.

 

Man you fd guys terrify me. I love doing the goodyear account at jbh but have been forced to do the fd account for a week twice now and know exactly what you are talking about. I always have little flashbacks whenever I see a fd truck or anything similar. Especially now with these summer temperatures.

Even a lot of the other accounts pay similar and are less work than fd. I have similar hours to fd on my account and last week grossed over $1600, paycheck for the week was about $1300.

I agree drivers are taken care of at jbh. They take care of any problems on the truck and do all they can to keep us from being stuck or stranded.

 

I get home on Friday anywhere from 7am to 9pm and leave out around noon Sunday near Dallas Tx. We drive to everywhere in Texas and the bordering states.

Every once in a while they put me on another dcs account for a week so I have experienced a bunch of them. None on the east coast but they are all fairly decent.

So trying to do the math here. Appears you were off the 4th and 5th. Didn't see anything for the 7th or 9th. So all I can do is take the last 5 numbers you posted as a weekly pay. The last 5 posted equal $2084 . That would put you on track for $108,368 annual. Had no idea JB paid that much.
You did post you had a week that was $1146. That would be just under 60k. Does that sound like where you will end up after one year?
