Yep been there done that! I would have slid the tandems all the way forward! And to the rookie landstar 2206 Did you happen to notice it was on VIDEO? All they needed was a company name and truck number and they would have gotten their grass fixed! Not to hard to track a company down and your BS attitude of "who cares about tires and grass when you don't have to pay for them".... Thats a LOSER STATEMENT! #1 You screw up and tear up someones grass someone pays for it. If you aren't man enough to stand up for your mistakes go back to Burger King!
#2 The tires you messed up in that turn will be paid for but by the "owner" of the truck. (unless he happens to get a copy of this video or one like it) If I have to keep buying tires or repeat equipment for a certain driver I bet #3 he doesn't see a raise as if he was half the driver he thought he was he wouldn't be tearing up my equipment or #4 he'll be looking for another job with a pretty bad reference from me also!
Drivers with this kind of "it wasn't me attitude" can stay at that job flipping burgers or whatever you were doing before you decided to come into trucking and screw up as badly as you were doing in that last job, and let the drivers that can do the job without having to look over their shoulders because they keep screwing up get back to working! Geeze, these kids crack me up these days! And then cry "We ain't got no respect!" ROFLMFAO! What they forget or never let cross their tiny minds is "Boss man has to keep fixing my mistakes so he can't afford to give me a raise!"Injun, blackw900 and Working Class Patriot Thank this. -
Something i learned while hauling doubles and triples---if you get to a place where you're not really sure if you can fit----get out and take a walk.
It may take 15 mins to scope out the situation, but that's better than getting stuck.
The above statement could apply if you only have one trailer. If you're driving a commercial vehicle period.
