I'm curious if anyone here has used a Smart Cap while driving - the new hats that monitor drowsiness. For users and non-users, what do you think about fatigue monitoring in general? Does it feel helpful or invasive? Here's a link to one of the smart cap ads: I'm from the US and haven't met anyone here that's used one.
Give me a minute to make some popcorn and get something to drink. I want to get comfortable before the #### storm starts. I can’t imagine the “No cameras” crowd is going to want to wear a brain monitor.
Can't say I've actually heard about them, when i first saw this topic I just thought it was a cap that thought on behalf of the driver, , on a lot of trucks in Australia specially those involved in fuel haulage, and mining, they have special sensors that monitor your eye movement I've even had them go off just from yawning, it will take a pic then it goes to some place in the US or Canada they view it, and if they think its serious they will then contact the transport company who will then contact you, the kicker is your not supposed to answer your phone while driving. The problem with this is by the time they actually contact you, a driver it could either be to late, or your well ahead of where the incident took place, by the time I was contacted one night I was literally only a couple of hundred metres from my base.
