Hi Avenger, of those, I'd go with Millis. You could try H.O. Wolding, JJ Transport in Jackson ( they do a lot of Quad Graphic stuff), or there's several in the Fox Valley area, ( Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du lac). Btw, If they have forward facing cameras, it's just as easy to have driver cameras and not tell you about it. I think cameras of all kinds will make their way into all trucks eventually, as it's the only evidence that holds up in court. Good luck.

thanks Semi. My dad drove for HO Wolding for a bit when I was younger. funny it had always been my dream and he wound up doing it for a while. it was not a good co back than. I know they have really cleaned up now days. I talked to them a few years back, they had a problem with me having a misdemeanor that is 22 years old.
had an employer bounce my paychecks which lead to my personal checks bouncing. I moved without realizing I could be charged with something for it. (young and dumb) got it all straightened out but still have the misd on my record.
most co's couldn't care less but HOW said no thanks. said you can't go into Canada with it.

so you think Millis over Schneider? can I ask why?

just realized JJ Transport that you mentioned. yeah they used to run the most beautiful green petes when I was a kid. I used to tell my friends I was gonna drive for them someday. they haul fuel right? I think they require 1 year exp, thought I called them once.

How old are you op? If you're already retired, I'd say go for it. Otherwise keep in mind you'll obviously take a paycut most likely.

Realistically you'll probably make maybe 45,000 with those companies you named your first year.

Also in this industry, health insurance really is a joke despite what some ignorant people claim. I mean we're talking 1k deductibles and $35 copay on average. Rates for a family are pretty high too, that's something you have to keep in mind. Good luck whatever you decide and may the force be with you

not retired. yes will be a pay cut but that is calculated in to my thoughts.
I haven't used health insurance more than twice in the last 20 years so no biggie. I hate the prem cost but it will be ok.

Many reasons to go with tankers and pay is only one of them.
Usually, on average, takes an hour to load/unload and the customers are glad to see you.
You'll meet lots of smart people and in many cases well educated people at chemical plants as opposed to the village idiots and town misfits at grocery warehouses drivers have to deal with pulling vans & reefers.
Accessorial pays are usually much better with tanker outfits. Schneider Bulk is an excellent place to start and in a year can move on, if you wish, to even better tanker companies; some paying over $100K.
