Thoughts on TransAM?

How much is "alot"? Once or twice a month? More?

as you say it takes a while tp learn the freight lanes with any company
I only get stuck somewhere now when going to or getting off HT
as it limits my options deciding particular days to be anywhere

 

I decided not to go with this company because the trucks are automatic. I've spent a hell of a time trying to shift gears and if I work for a company whom doesn't use shifting, then when I decide to switch companies, I probably would have forgotten how to shift very well in different situations.

it isnt the worst company but i would put them pretty far down the list, any company recruiting drivers to be company drivers and then telling them they dont have a truck for them and telling them they are either waiting a long period of time for a truck or become a lease operator is a pretty immoral company, i would put them somewhere in the neighborhood of a trucking company by the name of "covenant"..and no that isnt a compliment.

when i came out of training 4 people went company
8 went lease all the company guys got trucks that friday
6 lease guys got trucks that day
2 of us had to wait till monday to get our lease trucks

 

But it's gotta be true, Pete....he heard it on the CB!

 

if they just want to say thier are better companies

none of the other posters are past or present transam drivers

 

Could they get you a manual transmission if you wanted and are leasing? If ima own it at the end i want it to be manual.
