Seriously though to get this back on track, since you started the thread, what are some of the things you have seen change (for the better or worse) over the course of the 11+ years you have been with SNI?

The lack of willing maint in the shops, the shift from a business relationship to a "you work for us" attitude, trailer assignments are gone. It used to be that once a trailer was assigned it was yours. Now if it's yours and I get to it first, oh well. Sorry for your luck. I've never agreed with not getting the full fuel discount. That's always been that way though. It used to be that you could call in with a question and get a straight answer. Now, when you call you get put on hold. They, in turn, call someone else and they get put on hold. There's too many cooks in the kitchen. Also, how hard is it to put an accurate weight and pickup number in the work assignment?? And don't even get me started on the lack of and sometime completely erroneous info on the IC community section of crossroads.

IMO sni is a good starter company to learn the job and lifestyle. I have to give them kudos on the commitment to safety and I've always got my pay on time. As long as I stay on too of what I'm supposed to get paid for. I'm sure I'll think of some other things.

Ive be been here too long.

One more thing, I'm in contact with a few other places and will be making a move soon. There are plenty out there that pay anywhere from 75-95% of gross. I know someone will chime in with "if it's so bad then why are you still here?"

I guess it's because like every job, you will have some happy campers, not so happy campers and those who don't like change. I'm sure the part that will never change since I was a company driver here 11 years ago is that SNI and most trucking companies think drivers are a dime a dozen and that may be true, but so are trucking companies. It's a good starter company to gain experience, but as I stated before, I wouldn't have nor ever will come back as a company driver here. Too much sugar for a nickel for that lol

I couldn't of said it better!

My thought is.. There is to much of the pre-madonna and conspiracy theory mind sets in this industry. Those type are always looking for someone to blame for their problems or hand them the silver platter. SNI provides you all you need to succeed but you have to be a little bit proactive to get it.. I don't bleed Orange, I know SNI is not my best friend, but at the end of every week they pay and put money in my bank for what they said they would do when I signed on..period! I just never been one to bash the company I work for.. Sure would like to see improvements in some areas ..but hell ..nothing / no company is the perfect cake walk.

I'm not sure who this is directed to but I can assure you that I do well financially. I don't expect to be handed anything. I also don't see it as bashing as much as being critical. I'm happy for you that you are content. And I wish you all the best.
