Adjusted clutch yesterday but the peddle free play adjuster is broken so I had to put clutch back to where it was, could the free play being out of adjust cause my problem?

You need to check the pedal counts ie; 0 to 100 to see if it,s the sensor or wiring also make sure your idle up on cruise switch is working
-
The idle up on cruise is working. Can I check the 0 to 100 with a multi meter? If so can u explain how please
-
What type of digital meter are you using ?
-
Just a cheap dick smith digital multi meter, has oms ac dc and a few other settings
-
As Worthken stated you can use an analog meter or digital - use duty cycle if you have it or ohms but a dddl or reader would be better - hang ups or small fluctuations are hard to pick with a digital meter
-
Check between A and B on connector and I,ll check the values in the morning for you
AUSSIE DAVE Thanks this. -
Im taking truck in for ECM flash in a few months, so if I can't find the fault with multi meter I'll get mechanic to check it out. Thanks mate
Also when I 1st checked throttle volts , max volts showed 3.9 volts on return wire, is that what it should be ? -
Thats a bit low but either way it will be your sensor playing up or the three wire harness rubbing together
-
Ok, thanks heaps for your help. I will check those things out.
