Yeah I tried calling the louisanna dot and asking them if they reported tickets to the federal dot. No going out of their way to report it but is there something in their database that links them with the federal dot. So by default it might show up? I already called the louisanna dot. Customer service did not know she transferred me to the police department they had better things to do. So I don't know who to talk to other than a lawyer I guess

In your original post you said "state officer" which would imply state trooper... If you did not get a federal inspection sheet that must be turned into your company signed and returned to the state then its not an issue. Just pay the fine.

Yeah I read it's only if it's a dot inspection. But speeding tickets and I would guess seat belts can be given outside of an inspection and go on your record. Csa points are not confined to just dot inspections. They can come from audits and moving violations to, right?

Thedude1969 yeah I must be confused. I assumed a local police officer was a state official and any tickets would go into the state database. If it's just a county offer then it doesn't go to state then?

Any ticket you get shows up on yer license no matter if it's from Super Trooper or Barney Fife. If you don't want it to show, get a lawyer and let him deal with it

The question I guess is I need to call the county in which I got my ticket and see if it gets reported to there state since I am a cmv operator

If the officer did a DOT inspection he is required to give you a copy of the inspeciton, as well as the citation, during the traffic stop. If you did not recieve one, more than likely he did not do one.

You need to be more concerned with your mvr then csa.
