I'm very blessed to still be working for them. I think the only thing that saved my butt is because their self insured.
I asked the lady if I'd get fired, she said heavens no! Worse things have happened and this people still work here lol -
Our neighbors hate us cuz my dad has two project cars sitting in the back yard, he does paint and body work as a hobby. Plus they don't like our American bull dog.

yea I remember reading that didnt you make a thread bout it?

Yeah I thought I did, I really believe I'm very lucky.
I'm going to call Monday and see when Ill be eligible for the lease option. I know I have to have 6 months experience with no accidents, so I gotta find out when the 6 months is up from when I had my accident lol -
my frist load i twisted the drive shift off be for i left the yard...all most got to my delv point and blow the tranning and i mean parts were every where ...they put me in a motel for 2, days and sent me a newer truck
DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Thanks for the replies. I was just wondering because recently I had a close call in Key West,FL. I didn't hit nothing, but was wondering how close I came to getting the boot lol!

That may just be a blessing in disguise.

Well I thought so at first.
But I got three people I know that are lease operators with Roehl. Their actually very happy and making good money. One of them was my trainer, so I got to see what he had to do. Really I saw there's not much difference between company and lease.
The differences I like though are that I get to choose my own route, where I want to fuel, I can go faster than 64 and they won't punish me for going over 70mph.
Also, one of the guys went through their lease program, paid the balloon payment, and owns his truck out right. He then turned the truck in at a dealership and got what he really wanted.
I'm wanting to lease because it's a faster way of making money for my situation, I'll be able to drive the truck for personal use when I get home. Plus with my credit I don't have enough money saved up to buy my own truck and finance it at a dealership ya know.Last edited: Jan 15, 2012

Sometimes.
I would say you got VERY LUCKY, THIS time!!!
As you can see, this is ONLY ONE example of someone NOT getting fired. But I have worked a many places and have personally seen many drivers get the boot for the smallest of all infractions OR minor accidents.
I am reminded of an accident a co-worker had when he was fresh out of school. He worked for Marten, and as he was backing into a parking space, he had only "rubbed up" against those big yellow poles, (known as bollards). There was the smallest amount of "paint transfer".
The mechanic in the shop said that he had an accident.
He got fired.
So there ARE TIMES when you can get away with it, or be fired.
One man's "good fortune" should NOT BE your hopes in keeping your job.DrtyDiesel and Lokix Thank this.
