You should be able to find a job much easier.It also depends when you got the ticket.I assume it's been a few yrs back since it'll fall off your license soon.

 

I hate to be a bubble buster but the only thing that will fall off is your states MVR points. You can bet the farm that the ticket info is in a computerized insurance database and it will follow you around like a small child looking for it's mommy for many years. I still have tickets from the middle 90s on my DAC file. Falling off is not the right term with these large MPH over tickets. It is time. I was just last week talking to a guy I know in Norfolk that recently hired then fired a guy over a 17 over ticket. The question on the application was NOT tickets in a 7 or 3 year period. The question was have you ever had a speeding ticket over 15 or more MPH over the limit. The driver either deliberately lied or misunderstood the question. After several key clicks on a computer the truth came out. The point I am trying to convey is stop worrying about a date where this ticket is concerned and go beat the bushes for a job. There are many driving jobs out there you can DO RIGHT NOW. Just because your ticket magically turns from a turd to a prince on a certain date means absolutely NOTHING in the trucking industry. OP if you are telling the truth and that 20 over ticket is all you have you have NOTHING keeping you from that dream job. Just man up and accept the fact that ticket happened and move on. One more thing. In another recent thread I made a comment about background checks being about database and search terms. It would make your mouth drop and your tongue hang way down if you fully understand what a properly formatted Boolean search can uncover. Welcome to life in the 21st century!
