I mean this kind of strap... 4"X30' Winch Straps with Twisted Sewn Loop
I'm seeing it on all sites as a flatbed strap, but maybe it's meant as a tow strap and they just put them with the other winch straps? I just thought I'd ask here but maybe I'll ask the sites. -
That's what I was thinking

Really. Well then they need to clean things up... I was trying to figure out how such a strap could be used reliably on a flatbed but maybe it's not me who's dumb.street beater Thanks this.

I disagree. I've seen flats with hooks that use those sewn end straps. And as a former tow truck driver, that's not a tow strap.
-
You could use them, would be a major pain in the ### though....
-
Its not a tow strap. But built very similarly. Its used to hook to an attachment point, either a hook, or a shackle. You could also feed it back thru itself when using as a choke strap. also many trailers have hooks bolted or welded to siderails.

No it's not, it's a regular tie down strap for 4" winches.
