Tiflis Transportation — What Every Driver Needs to Know (USDOT 3945218)

I’m dropping this for anyone considering working with or for Tiflis Transportation. Here’s the raw truth — no filter, just facts and my direct experience:

    1. Forced DOT Violations & ELD Falsification

    • They pressure you to break Hours of Service laws. Example: San Antonio, TX to College Park, GA (966 miles, 14–15 hours, not counting breaks).
    • If you run out of hours: Just text dispatch. They edit your logs (using First ELD) so you keep rolling. All via Telegram — no official channels, no paper trail.

    2. Fake “Owner-Op” Setup — But Treated Like an Employee

    • You’re required to open your own LLC, but they treat you like any employee: constant instructions, control, penalties, zero autonomy.
    • Reality: You carry the tax/legal risk of an independent contractor, but get none of the freedoms.

    3. Micromanagement & Surveillance

    • Pre-trip photos REQUIRED: You must submit pictures before every trip, and do a full inspection (with photos of all tires, pressures, and truck/trailer components) once a week.
    • All inspections and mileage tracked via Vektor app. If you exceed route mileage by more than 10 miles (even to park, miss a turn, etc.), you’ll have to fight to not get charged.
    • Driver-facing camera.
    • Escrow taken from paychecks.
    • Dispatchers are often in Europe — communication is a headache.

    4. Shady Truck Operations & Penalties

    • Auxiliary Battery AC unit only — no truck idling allowed. System is unreliable. I was charged nearly $1,200 for idling, even though their “no-idle” battery system failed.
    • New trucks are governed at 65 MPH.
    • They penalize you for every little thing — even when it’s not your fault.

    5. Company Culture = Run Illegally & Deflect All Accountability

    • They don’t care if you get proper rest or need to operate safely.
    • You have to constantly justify yourself for any minor issue.
    • Too many chiefs, not enough Indians: Too many managers, not enough real help.

    6. Corporate Secrecy & Low Ratings

    • Suspicious corporate filings in Illinois and Florida.
    • Low broker ratings and generally negative rep in the industry.

How long did you work there? Did you ever text the company when you ran out of hours? My curiosity looms.......

Why did you drive for them if they're so bad? You agreed to most of that stuff when you onboarded. These carriers survive off of people like you. Stop feeding them and they go away.
