Do they have an explanation for having the drivers on a 1099 or why they are asking for a $300 deposit ?
.... Is it wonder, they won't have drivers to keep them in business
And 36 cpm ? .... Really ?alghazi Thanks this. -
I talked to a time definite recruiter on the phone once. Guy was a real tool.

Why don't you confirm why your safety manager is falsely claiming that the OP failed a drug test?
-
Good question! We, in no way, would falsely claim that anyone did anything. We abide by DOT regulations.
-
How about @superflow questions above?
-
Those are also really good questions. The $300 deposit is for the truck. A lot of other companies typically use escrow. We are a 1099 company because we feel that our drivers have more control of their money. We advertise everywhere because we are increasing the size of our fleet, Not to replace leaving drivers. Approximately 5 years ago we only had around thirty trucks. Right now we have over 200 trucks.

1099 and 36cpm = Scratch and sniff armpit of the reefer industry.Razzledazzle33 Thanks this.

We do not ask you to hand us anything, It is a security deposit for our equipment. Most trucking companies require a deposit for their trucks that the driver will get back if they decide to leave. and their trucks are as we gave it to them. That is part of making sure our drivers have the most cleanly and safe equipment. That is all we are trying to do.

Lol. You are a 1099 company because you want to avoid paying payroll taxes and benefits. Nothing more-nothing less. For you to suggest it is due to a concern over drivers having control of their finances insults the intelligence of anyone who reads your post.p608, Razzledazzle33 and rocknroll81 Thank this.
