I had a 78 KZ1000. Loved riding, could not keep good sprockets and chains on it. I decided to quit riding when a car pulled out in front of me one rainy afternoon. Lucky I could crawl on top of it and was not hurt to badly. Sold it shortly after.
I'm a motorcycle nut, worked in a dealership service dept from 12 or so cleaning wrenches to about late 20's. We were a full line Kawasaki/Yamaha dealership, so Kawasakis are my go to. I have WAY too many. These are the latest projects. 78 has 69,000kms, hasnt run since the 90's The A1SS scrambler is a 71, 250 twin 2 stroke. I have almost enough of the missing bits to start it also. It has high pipes and should have a dirt bike handle bar set up.
That is a sweet KZ. They are fast good handling bikes. I was younger and dumber when I had mine and at the time I did not really appreciate it like I should have.
