There were no points given for that ticket, it was in a state park at the beach here in FL.
Guess I got lucky. Just talked to Kim at Roehl, she said if no points, it's not a problem.
Time for a change....

Well.... Roehl didn't work out for free training. My credit score wasn't up to their standards and I don't have the $3400 to cough up right now. Dang Ex-wife and divorce!!!
I just applied to PRIME and we'll see what comes of that. -
They have credit score requirements? I guess I kinda understand that, but even if you're going to sign a contract to work for them to pay for the training they DQ you based on credit? I've never heard of any other companies doing that. Guess you learn something new every day. Good luck with Prime. I should be headed their way shortly. Looking forward to it. I've been impressed with them so far...

Welcome to the forum!
Sounds as if you really having nothing to lose! Had you had a family or job I might tell you otherwise but now that those aren't in an issue then go for it! All you need to do now is choose the path in which you are going to do this.
I wouldn't choose a company because of there home time policy. Its pretty much standard across the board. Some say 10-14 some companies say 2-3 weeks, the companies that tell you 4-6 weeks are the ones that are being truthful and everything else is bullpoo! If you are going to be a trucker and want to make any kind of money you need to stay out for a minimum of 4-6 weeks. 8 weeks being optimum money making time. Won't get into the explanation as to why just trust me!
Every company has its goods and bads. Whatever you do don't base your career decision on someone else's comments or experiences. Find a company that is going to best suit your personal needs and go for it. Keep in mind that recruiters are salesman and get paid commission. As long as they can get you to show up for one day of orientation then they get paid. So take everything they say with a grain of salt.
Choosing schools: Trucking isn't rocket science! Most of the CDL mills are pretty comparable and are just there to get you your license and get you ready to go with a trainer of your chosen company. No more, no less! Don't expect them to hold your hand and rub your shoulders until you feel you have completely grasped the whole trucking industry! They are going to show you the very basics of the trucking world and your real world training is going to come after you graduate. So don't be too picky! Just make sure whatever company you are interested in excepts students from the school you want to go to.
