    We have yet to pull a flower load....they are supposed to be some of the best paying loads in the system...BUT...you have to work...the flowers are boxed and loaded on the floor...you deliver anywhere from 1-20 stops....and you haul all the flowers in...up and down...in and out of that 53' mother that you call a trailer any other day....each stop pays...and they add up fast....and the freight charge is top dollar too! I don't know anybody that is actually "Prime Floral" Dedicated....but, I do know several people that run flower loads occasionally. Some like them....others don't....but they ALL say they pay good. Just like everybody in the world says Beer loads pay crap!! LOL

    I'll see about compiling those numbers.......

    We repowered a floral load awhile back. Good paying, everything on the floor... and el fleet manager was on our case the whole time to get it there. The tractor we took it over from was waaay late... they had to load it themselves. We unloaded ourselves at two stops... and got paid for same. The last stop was up in BC, so we handed off to a Canadian Prime driver.

    All in all, it wasn't a bad load. It was surprising how heavy flowers are though!

    I used to haul live plants out of florida...same deal. Everything on the floor and multiple stops...most were all curbside , double parked in the street , unloading at some florist or greenhouse...I liked it though....i was filthy and wore out after unloading a load of potted plants.

    Well I report to CDL training on Monday 1/14/08. Steve I know that your wife recently went through Prime to obtain her CDL? Overall how would she rate her experience? I am both excited and nervous at the same time. Any info or words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

    STEVE, your still running hard and still posting, Im glad your still driving PRIME and loving it (or it seems).!! Hey, got a question for ya (or two), what Internet service do you run? with your laptop? I have Verizon but wondering what service you operate? AND also if running solo, does Prime run alot of coast to coast or do they have mostly eastern loads? If you have the info what is the average length of haul? Thanks and Drive Safe!
