What a great thread, one of the more optimistic ones I have read. Keep up the good and hard work, Prime seems like a place where one can chase the American dream, or fall flat on their face depending on how much they want to roll up their sleeves and get dirty. :biggrin_25525:

Lease ops have nothing taken out. They have to pay all taxes not half. Co drivers have to pay half and the co pays half. Contractors are basicly self employed. Plus have to pay for truck expenses.

OOPS just reread the post. Not primary road. nevermind. Although it does sound like a stretch of old hyw 666 in AZ I got off on once (they have since changed that highway number although the devils hiway was a fitting name) that sucker had switchbacks so sharp I swear I saw the rear end of my trailer ahead of me coming around some of them. and talk about dropoffs

yep, what i meant was is that the amount of his check after fuel, truck payment etc..all the things that prime takes out before you get your check...which i think that is what he was saying, if that amount was before they take that stuff out then he would heve nothing left over..therefore nothing good to say i'm sure.....

I'm a bit confused about the bonus after the lease ends. What is this based on? It seems odd the company would be paying a big chunk of money just for driving their truck for the last 3 years...

It seems this is the critical part of the program that would make it all worth it since you could use that bonus to pay for down payment on your own truck, or kid's college...etc...
