I heard that a employee is defind in the tax code as someone who is employed by the fed goverment. But you have to find some company that go alone with it. 99.9 wont smiple being that they crack down hard on the companies to obey the irs and there to scared to let you out. The other thing i heard you don't have to play the game but once your on the feild u better play by the rules. I sure if u had the money for the right person who knew the law u can get out of all it.

Social Security can be opted out of due to the fact that it is a voluntary retirement insurance. You "apply" for a SS card, just as you would apply for any other insurance. However since the institution is so ingraved into company, bank, and mostly IRS, its a catch 22. You do not have to volunteer to participate in the SS system by try living in today's society with out that little blue card. Also if you will look up US Supreme court decision of 1916 you will find that the IRS is in fact illegal.

Yea, I saw this problem with a Werner trainer and trainee last week at a Love's the night before we had to pick up a load of carboard across the street at Ft. Sill military base in Lawton, OK. I thought that ol' boy was gonna beat the trainee with the rachet strap he was trying to use to bend his bumper back on that Pete. The trainee came in the exit and tried to make a U-turn into the fuel island and was jacked in that tight spot all kinda crooked. He turned into the fuel island and didn't make it and ran right smack dab into one of the concrete barriers gaurding the pumps and bent the bumper back into the drivers side steer tire. The trainee didn't look like he was playing with a full deck anyway because he kept screwing up so the trainer told him to just get out of the truck throwing his hand's up at him cussing worse than sailor. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to drive and need to go back to their regular day job.

You are right on this subject. I'm studying up on this because I don't want to go to jail over a tax prep. that I believe has fed me falsified information to con me into a tax fraud scam to put more money in her pocket. This #### has me stressed out like you wouldn't believe and it's so bad that I worrying so much about it and not getting in trouble for someone else giving me false information that I'm thinking about going to see a doctor because I have a mild heart condition but have been experiancing pain's lately from that area that I'm affraid might turn into a heartattack and everyone say's calm down, it'll be alright. Easier said than done when your in it with the IRS because that's nothing to take lightly as they don't take thing's lightly with you. If this is anything like I read it to be and I get took to court then it'll be something that I tag along with me to court to throw in their face being the IRS is illegal and they are violating my right's as a US citizen and they need to look at the lady who gave me the false information rather than me the hard working stiff who's just trying to make something out of life for himself.

Here's a link I started with and has a lot of information on the subject.

The leasing gal at Prime told me that for the first couple of leases, they try to get you into shorter period leases on Freightliners; it's partially to help you get to the end of a lease successfully. After you've completed a longer term lease, you can order a new Freightliner, Pete or Kenworth for lease.

The KW's and Petes are for 2nd and 3rd leases.....and there is a minimum time of service requirement. You won't get a Pete after doing 2 6 mo. leases.....it'd be nice if it worked like that....

Also there is the ACE II lease which is also a Purchase program. This lease requires a downpayment and you have tons of options with it.

But, we are gonna finish out this regular lease and take part of our completion bonus and apply that towards a downpayment on a KW....but, that's about a year or so away at this point.

First of all great thread Steve. Can you tell what good runs would be good for me at Prime I live in the Bay area,Ca and I here you talk about the flower runs pay more. And is there a dedicated flower run living in the Bay Area,Ca. And if so with the price of fuel would it be a good thing to run. Or is there something better coming out of the Bay Area,Ca
    Thank You

Money B, I have a buddy who pulls a reefer; he was telling me that there is a lot of seafood coming off the left coast. Namely H&M Bay, and a few others. That could be a good load to leave the house with.

    Just a thought...

Hey guys I just wanted to say thank you for all the info you have posted. I was in the Corps in 79-82 got out and went into construction with my dad and went into bus. for myself in 85 and went trucking in 88 when the building trade died and came off the road in 90 when it started up again. Now all these years later I am coming back to trucking again, this time to stay and become an LO with Prime Inc. And hopefully an OO in the future. When I finally make A seat I plan on doing the LO mainly because I am so accustomed to being in business for myself. I can push myself better than anyone else can except for the WIFE that is LOL...... Anyway Thanks again..
If you ever get in the Tellico Plains area look us up. We live in Coker Creek just listen for the automatic machine gun fire..We are class 3 weapons holders....
