They won't take a truck on that is more than 4 years old..... But, if you are working for them....and buy a truck....and they know the history of that truck.... you can keep it there until it starts having enough issues that will prevent it from being reliable.....there are some 10 year old trucks here.

Thanks for the reply S&L I have been following your thread here and on Primedrivers I have been looking into Prime for awhile now I am currently on workers compensation. My doctor has told me to find a less active job if I want to avoid future surgery, I already have my class A and have been with UPS for 8 years now. I have been paying down alot of mine and my girlfriends debit preparing for a paycutt. I spoke with a recruiter the other day she said everything looked great just needed no medical restriction on my card, does that sound normal I can do some lifting just not all day long like before.

Whatever you do, do not tell them you have back issues, they will send you straight home without any explanation. I know, they sent me home (though I was going to work for Wil-Trans who is a sister company of sorts) and I had to go and get my own rig to be able to drive again..... honestly I am glad I did, I have never had this much freedom. I am not making what I want to but neither are most of us out here due to the economy but I am making it...... Good luck to you.

Thanks I guess I screwed that up already they would like a release of my medical records from the doctor that is treating me ( should of know better ). Well I want my own truck anyway so I have some sort of control of what I do tired of being controled in a big company. Do you have your own thread where you post how well you are doing, Is the revnue the same at Wil trans I have also been keeping an eye on them I see them on I81 all the time pulling Prime trailers.

Boy....it shows how much I've been away....I didn't know you had been sent home, Cowboy. But, you ended up getting your own truck anyway? Good!!

Big Country.....Yeah, I had some Knee problems before I left Con-way..... Made sure I had gotten released with no restrictions before I came back here. If you're used to humpin' packages all day....this will be a piece of cake! Biggest downfall to the whole thing tho is the lack of benefits. You have got some of the best......and you are getting ready to have none. Except what you PAY for....and most likely when you go to get medical....you will have exclusions for whatever your ailing body parts are.

But, if it's freedom you want....these guys will give it to you. And, if you need help....all you gotta do is ask them. They WANT us to succeed.

the new Hippa laws make it extreamly difficult for anyone to get your medical records as it should be. You should NEVER release them to a company and you are not legally bound to tell them. I had back surgery and I've been through it all. The hard thing for me is it is awfully hard to hide the scar.

I wouldn't release the records and write it off. If you release the records to them there is a better chance of other companies coming by the information
