Maybe i misread your post didnt mean to come off as an ###, sorry. But read Steves response, 44k lbs running CA doing 60-62mph and he got 6.3, that is very respectable millage for west coast no matter what truck. Bet if he was doing 75mph he would be down in the very low 5s if lucky.

As said again, running the mountains with a head wind, no matter what the truck you will get crap for millage.

You're very welcome. That is the main reason I started this thread over a year ago now. I wanted people to see what ACTUALLY happens here......Not what someones cousin's nephews friend.....that knows somebody that USED to work here said.
A lot of the people on this particular board don't like it.....but, hey....the truth will set you free!!!

BUT! It's just as easy to fail here as it is to succeed.......But, only if you are too stubborn or proud to ask for help.

Can't wait to run into you guys!

Yes, the hubby will be running solo when I'm at home spoiling the grandkids.

We are scheduled for orientation next week. However, the recruiter is now suggesting that we start as company. The reason is that we have a cruise scheduled for the first week of November, already paid for it, can't back out (don't wanna back out anyway). We don't really want to do the company thing. we do not want to go to Canada or NYC. Also, we have two little dogs (2 months is a long time to leave them) and we'd have to do another orientation when we switch, meaning almost two weeks of orientation "down time" between now and Christmas.

I know you can set up an emergency fund, I figure we should have 6 to 7 weeks of running before the cruise. Am I being "realistic" to think we could put $125 per week in this fund, and still pay the bills at home, and stay out of the hole???

p.s. I have been approved at the other board. I'm still trying to read it so I don't post questions already asked, and since my puter seems to have developed severe mental problems, it's a sssslllloooowwwww process.

    thanks again.

Yes....they have certain requirements....age, wheelbase, weight....

If you already have your own authority....you would get 80% of Revenue...+ 100% of FSC and other Accessorials. And pull their trailers. If you want to run off of their authority....you would get 72% + the other stuff is the same.

You can go to their website and check all the particulars. I tell you....When we finish this lease....we WILL be leasing OUR own truck back on on the O/O side.

YUP YUP That's a profit. We made that much a mile in 96 and in 1980s hauling bulls paid that. Pour the coal to her.

Runnin' Runnin' Runnin'.......man o' man. One thing.....We ordered a Memory Foam mattress for the truck.....they had to make it the particular size that we wanted......Ohhhhhhh it's wonderful.....:biggrin_25518: No more bouncing around the sleeper going across OK, PA, or even In Chicago..... it's like magic.....

Currently getting ready to run into NJ and pick up a pre-loaded trailer going to Cali. Just got over to this side....came from Oregon.....good load....not too heavy(23K...he he) and pulled good.... Got 7.47mpg for the trip. Just didn't have enough time to enjoy it.....seems like they really wanted the stuff and it had a short fuse. $2950 to the truck AFTER fuel, etc.

Looks like it'll be another pretty good week! IF the Good Lord is willing!

    All be safe.....and Happy Truckin'!
