Well....my biggest asset is my Co-Driver! She makes this whole lifestyle A LOT more bearable! Not to mention.....she can yell STOP! really loud! LOL We do have a good time out here and still make good money.....we take days off out on the road and go see the sights every chance we get. I think that's one of the reasons we are enjoying this whole experience so much. Being able to share it with her.....makes it that much better!

Currently we're sittin' at the "J" in Troutdale, OR....we had a 0430 appt. on Sunday morning at Albertson's in Portland......got there at 0300 local and checked in.....told us to monitor 14 and they would call us. At 0730 I got on the radio and asked about our status.....the guy said you are "unscheduled".....I call my dispatch....tell him he needs to get us "Scheduled" he tells me that the appt was made days ago.....and the lady that made it just happens to be working......5 minutes later we get a message......"Rec won't take you today....0430 Monday"....after informing him that someone is gonna pay a day of layover he says "I'll take care of it"....

We get to the J.....I get out the laundry bag.......and head inside.....get halfway through the laundry.....and the Titans/Packers game.....and the phone rings.....I ignore it once I see it's my dispatcher.....a few mins later my wife says we got a QC message saying that the receiver wants the load ASAP.....seems they overlooked the fact that they really did need the product today. I call dispatch......"I'm in the middle of my laundry....I'll call the receiver when I get done."(Steam comes out of the phone earpiece).....I grin....well...one thing led to another.....Overtime and all.....Then the channel got switched to the race.....by the time my wife got through with her nap....and I FINALLY got through with the laundry......Dang, the receiver was closed. Hmmmm, I guess they'll really be ready for it this am!!

Not to mention........we'll get a paid day off! I know it's not as much as we could generate rolling....but, just knowing they screwed themselves....and I'm gonna get paid for doing laundry.....just makes it a little bit better.....he he he.

Not to mention......probably get a good apple load on a Monday!

You guys are great at chronicling your adventures in a positive way! I enjoy your posts very much and if I were to go loco and get into a lease program I'd certainly be inclined to follow in your tire tracks :biggrin_25520:

Appreciate it there, MarkV! We just try to tell it like it is....some folks choose to discount what we say....but we appreciate those that can hear the truth and believe it.

I still meet people every day that think all Prime does is Lease/Purchase.....and I have to tell them that YOU have to ask for a Lease/Purchase....and you can't even be considered until you have completed AT LEAST one lease. Once most find out that they aren't tied to the truck....they feel a lot better about the program.

Now, my wife, Lo is wishing we had just gone ahead and bought the T-660 when I wanted to. But, at the time she was unsure.......But, now!!! She has seen the light.....and the consistent $3K deposits!!!! :biggrin_255: But, she wants to wait till next winter when we complete this lease and get back over $20K! Plus, that'll come it handy for what she wants the Chrome Shop Mafia guys to do to the Studio! I told her I'd waited this long.....I can wait another year......Plus, that'll give us a chance to see where #44 takes us.....hope it's not down the drain.

Regarding The Obama Supremacy I read an interesting article that said basically that B.O. is going to give the average consumer renewed confidence in the economy which will cause them to spend and the economy to grow, along with the hyper inflation and increased taxes, but that's another story...

We've been off for a week....getting ready to head back out tonight.....on our way to Cali.....Most of the guys I've talked to aren't having any problems staying loaded. Some are having to do a little more deadheading than usual....but, then again....I've talked to people from other companies and they are all having to do the same thing.

Hey Markv......talked with a few of my buddies today....and they are all staying busy enough.....but, some say the rates aren't holding up in their areas. A buddy is loading produce in Riverside for OK and MO and it's paying him $1.46mi. We'll see what we can get that will take us to FL for our Thanksgiving plans on the beach.

People are gonna think we're getting lazy.....take a week off.....come back out for a week....then head to FL for Thanksgiving...... We'll have to work extra hard when we get back, tho! :biggrin_25525: Gotta get that GrandBaby's Christmas bought!!! LOL
