Well after some years I put my gift wrap on the ground. pull the edges into the middle. Again on each side. When it's the desired folds, I walk to the end, drag it to me, 1/3 is good. Then roll it into a tight roll. I let gravity fall on the next load and tuck as needed. :) It unfolds all by it's self, sort of :)

NWMAXI and fisher guy Thank this.

Yeah I can tell I've been away from flats for a while. I totally forgot that you fold to the middle so when you unroll it on your next load you can just throw the folds off each side. I also roll just like NWMAXI with the exception that my tarps never had flaps so i didn't have to worry about them.

    NWMAXI Thanks this.

I do it similarly, just back one row of drings, that way if I end up with a load at 4' height I just flip tarp over the sides and don't have to roll up the excess underneath. I do that because it's 50/50 whether I'll need 4' or 8' if I'm live loading and tarping. Just trying to cut down on time that way, as I usually do it for a second load of the day~trying to get it wrapped up and outta there asap, as I want to get it off same day asap.

Hey fisherguy: how you making out so far? Loving it? Gotta be more fun than what you were doing, tho I don't hear many KB guys saying they are bored...guess it's just how active you like to be :)

i'm lovin it man i don't have to bust my hump half as hard. i can actually somewhat keep it legal now and still make good money i pretty much got the truck of my dreams she actually does a pretty good job of passing most trucks in texas i just found out yesturday hehe (still looking to try it out on the 85mph strecth though) as far as the flatbedding i love the challenge being tarping (not so much in wind but what can u do) to chaining fun stuff down like coils (hauled one so far) to generators (i got 3 on right now) as for OTR its what i've always wanted to do. i know one day i might get sick of it but for now its great i never in my life would've ever thought i'd see things like the bayou in LA ( did that yesterday and today) or cruise through houston tx with an oversize (did that yesturday) and im making a lil more then i was with the kb but instead of 100 hrs a week im down to 70/80 which is a huge load off. only bad thing i've seen so far is i got nabbed in the Louisiana scales yesturday for my oversize permit a little hard to read. the printer was running out of ink at the loves in alabama and it was readable just had to look a little hard to see the permit number. funny thing is when i got to the second scale the cop could read the permit just fine and couldent belive the first scale gave me a ticket. as far as my record its still squeaky clean they wrote it out to the company and no csa points to either me or the company. owner said not worry about it sometimes these things happen. but aside from that i'm just going day by day and loving every minute of it

Speaking of Lousiana. Mile marker 107 on 10 (Lafayette) there was a bridge hit. Local driver didn't secure a boom and ripped the rebar from underneath the bridge.

That will probably end his career. May even put his company out of business.

if it was like a car 350 or something id get it you know he measured it permits said it was good but hit a bump the wrong and smack! but nope it had to a machine barely considered oversized and he didnt fold in the boom and that right there tells me he was nothing more the rookie. i dont know about u guys but i have never seen an excavator on a low boy with its boom not folded in to itself to keep it lower unless it was mini or something
