I've been asked for fuel receipts for no reason known to me.

It takes me 30min to wake up, walk inside to take a dump, brush teeth, wash face. I shower usually mid shift on my 30 cause there wont be a wait. I try to drive at night starting around 1800 ending around 0600, roads wide open, fuel lanes clear, weigh stations usually closed. And best off all wide open truck stop when you shut down.I love getting on the CB yelling "Rise and shine" Time to go to work" while they're all waiting 3 trucks deep in the fuel lanes.

I'm trying not to be a trucker. But it's hard to do.

Getting 725mi a day is no sweat for me. Really only 3 steps. Don’t drink a bunch of coffee. Combine fuel stop with PTI if possible. Lastly, run at night (I usually do 1-2am to 1-2pm).

When my 10 is done I log in, release the brake and put her into the wind and keep the left door closed. When it’s time to take the mandatory 30 min taco break I do what I need to do then put her back in the wind.
Finish the 11 hour drive time. And yes, I can knock out 600 plus miles with no problem.

In winter I always fill half full or prior. That might be the difference between a dead truck or a relatively long wait.

One time I had a fuel problem from roughly Oregon all the way down coast to AZ. I ended up going from stop to stop like a beggar until I found one with a functioning pump and fuel to get out of it.

I had put just about 1700 miles on 320 gallons and managed to get fuel in there maybe two or three gallons left in there. It was a near thing. Why? Company had too many trucks filling in CA and told me not to do it there. THAT created a problem.

Just as well. Newer trucks would 2000 miles on 335 gallons. But I don't like to run like that.
