Time to make that move

    I just wanted to say hi, I have been looking through this site for the past couple of days. I finally decided to join up, the amount of information that I have read has help me understand and even what questions to ask. I am taking a truck driving class at a vocational school here in ABQ.

    I will say trucking is something that I always wanted to do, and it is not much different than my current job. There are a few differences but I hope that I do well in this class. Eventually my plans are to become a O/O.

    Hey Skoshi130 and welcome! I don't start school until next summer but I've been reading the forum for a couple of months now. It's a great place to get good info and you'll be pleasantly surprised how many truckers out there are more than willing to help you. Keep in touch! It's particularly helpful to wannabes like me to hear how things are going for guys like you who are in the process right now!

    I haven't updated this in a while. I did pass the first part of the class have my permit now. Had to take the airbrake portion twice. Acadeics was finished back in Dec. Today we started the actual range portion of the class, we had four trucks to rotate through and each had their own uniqueness. Starting tomorrow we start our backing excercises; the first being straight line backing
