LOL, Phoenix may not have high property taxes, or income taxes, but that's because they collect all the money they need through the water bill...... ;)

Not even. We have the cheapest electricity in the nation. Palo Verde Nuclear Plant. The largest on the North American Continent. That's why all the data centers have moved here.

well that's what i am looking at for my future...low cost of living, SPACE as to not hear my neighbors yelling at each other, or murdering each other, and warmer, NOT humid weather.

you must live in an HOA or condo to pay for garbage pick up.??

city water here we pay, sliding scale, what you use, and sewer is based off of the water bill, WITH a surcharge for the new sewer distribution system, PAID with FEDERAL monies...go figure.

But you’re rarely home and the weather and environment is awful.

Why do you hate hills and grass and trees and leaves and wildlife?

Not sure how it all works elsewhere... But in Idaho, outside city limits we have to pay for garbage pickup. But we have multiple options as to what company we deal with in most areas.

I hope sometime soon states will do something about the change.

My state was talking about it at the end of last year. Haven't heard anything since. Course, one of the topics was the amount of money it would cost to end it. Not just passing a bill but the financial impact of farmers and business's too.

I'm not getting it. Isn't the amount of daylight and night the same regardless of the time? And don't the gooberment work for the taxpayers regardless of what bill is being passed?

    Oxbow Thanks this.

the cites/towns here either have thier own garbage workers, or it is contracted out. it's part of our overall services we pay our taxes into. no one here really has any say in who to hire. except for maybe condo associations and apartment buildings, who can shop around.
