Thats all you can do. I will be sitting 2 days this week and will still end up with almost 2700 miles. Did 1700 last week and just chalked it up to being one of those weeks than happens sometimes.

Sorry Marine,I don't agree with you at all.It is all about work ethic,When you sign up to pay off a 100k+ truck, you better be out here on the road working your butt off to get it done. And as far as the miles go,there's plenty of mile's to be able to do that. You don't make no money and you go deeper in the hole, when you're sitting at the lake drinking beer with your buddies.I don't sit around any truck stop's.And I do feel very Blessed, for the work ethic I have! You're right about people having different experiences at ACT,The one's that work hard will have a good one,The one's that don't will have a bad one.

By the way I swung by the shop in KC a couple hrs ago to wash my truck and ask the manager when we had 40 trucks sitting empty and he told me never.3 weeks ago they had 21 truck's there and 4 of them were for sale.I go by the shop all of the time and of course you have to understand that I'm just using my eye's and ear's,not a keyboard to make up false statement's.

There is a 2 to 3 week waiting list at minimum right now on hiring a new driver, because there are no truck's available.Weird how that doesn't jive with what's been posted on this thread.....hmmmm

That is a VERY GOOD post and it is exactly how I feel. I hear things all the time that drivers say that tells me how their work ethic is. They say things like "I don't have to deliver this load til Friday" but me if they give me a load with extra time on it the first thing I am asking is can I deliver it earlier or where can I tcall it? A few months back I got a load picking up on Wednesday in Zaneville,Oh going to a Purina place in Georgia near Atlanta and was scheduled to drop on Saturday anytime. I asked Lance can it deliver earlier and he said yes should I put your PTA in for Friday instead and I said heck no I will drop it that night. There was another truck picking up the same time as me. He delivered it on Saturday morning. I had another 1000 miles already before he even delivered that 600 mile load. That is what work ethic does to increase your chances of succeeding here. We have several loads that are drops that they put the delivery date in a few days away and you can deliver them earlier if you want. If you don't want to then don't ##### and moan that you aren't getting miles.
