I'll have to agree with pete3871 on this one... Most I've see at the yard were 15 trucks, but that includes the w900's that are owner ops and the 600's that are the older lease/owner ops.
Only week I saw 1920 miles was when I took 2 days off and also decided to do a 34hr restart and do some fishing since I was next to Madison and WI river. Highest I've seen was 3326 miles. My average for last month was 2800 miles and all the drivers I met and talk to at the yard told me they average 2500. So yes, something doesn't add up here.
The "routed to go home every week" statement is straight bs... I don't know of any company that doesn't want you to just run and run as much as possible and MAKE THEM MONEY, which makes you money. I do get asked, every monday, when I want my next home time, even if I say in 3-4 weeks, I'll still get asked just to see if anything changed.
BTW... no company in their right mind will "guarantee you miles" ever! so your 2300 promised miles is total BS - summer is great, winter sucks (miles) everyone in the industry knows that...
Sorry to hear that... not sure why you're not getting loads to OH - I was in OH 4-5 times in the past two weeks, mainly Columbus area. My mpg's suck since I drive 62-70 most of the time and yes I know I'm loosing about $300/week in fuel but that's just me. But then again, I haven't seen a lower check then $1100.
Like I said before, my average is 2800 miles and all the drivers I met at the yard said they average 2500 miles every week. I've said it before and I'll say it again, most people cannot run a business and fail if they try - not saying that's you but most people and that's a proven fact just as most people follow and do not lead.
This week, I'm already at 687 miles (week just started lol) and I expect it to be slower because of the holiday but pretty sure I'll still hit at least 2000-2100 miles.
Those totals suck! I'm sorry. Are we at the same company?? -
BlackLions and DragonTamerBrat Thank this.

It looks like the company takes care of the drivers that recruit. Maybe IDK there has to be a reason for some drivers to so good. You can say what u want about my ability to run a business. The bottom line if I had the miles someof you guys are saying you have I would still be there. You are the chosen ones but why I'm not sure yet. It's has to do with the age if your truck or the recruiting not sure. Everyone reading this be aware of the fact these guys defending ACT live on the money they make on recruiting. $300 per recruit + .04 com for 90 days Thats about $120 extra a week per recruit at 3000 miles. So understand this is threatening their livelihood that's why they defend the scam they are part of it.

Something happens and people just go after the big bad company and it's always their fault. 99% of the time people don't hear the other side of the story and in this case we won't either.
I still defend Schneider whenever I see a bad post. They were good to me, yes there were issues, had to change managers, trucks, teams but overall it's a great company to start with right out of school and I still tell that to people. SNI, just as any other company is about communication (hard at times lol) but if you communicate you should be fine. I went where I wanted, told my dbl, no California and it was done. Have friends in Chicago and Austin, went there pretty much every week or other.
Same thing with Act, I have friends in Denver and found out there's runs to CO now. Told my leader and within a week I got a load to Denver and spent 2 days there, by choice of course.
Communication is the key at every company, yes there's more issues with the mega carriers but still communicate!
On the side note since you mentioned recruitingif anyone has questions about ACT or even SNI (Schneider) - PM me and I'll be happy to answer any questions.

I post in my thread at the very begining that if you want to be home all the time or have family commitment's then don't lease a truck go company.ACT tells you the same thing at orientation, but obviously you didn't listen and thought you were smarter than everybody else and could make it work.Well we all know how that worked out.
The guy's at ACT that are successful, want to own a truck in a few years and make a commitment and sometime's sacrifice's to reach that goal.If you think you can drive a truck 5 day's a week and take home good money and some company is going to just hand you a title to a nice truck, then you're living in fantasy land.Leasing a truck is not easy, you have to have the ambition and drive to make it work.Blame ACT,blame me ,blame everybody if it really makes you feel good.At the end of the day you still have to look in the mirror.BlackLions Thanks this. -
