In the second part of my segment ..Some of you are right you cannot go home every 5 days with a 600.00 plus or minus truck note weekly . You will not make it and will fail within a few months at most .

Hey guys that's cool u say what u want. You guy are just too nieve to realize that you are just as big a sucker as I was. They have you thinking you are superior to all the other truck drivers because you are getting the miles u need. That's the only difference between me and you super truckers. I don't with anyone bad luck not even u guys that are hammering on me and insulting my intelligence. I want you to understand you are not the norm. You have been chosen by ACT to succeed. They have to have success stories or they couldn't find suckers. ( like me). You guy whether u want to admit it or not are part of the scam. You may not know it but u are. You are the small percentage of success stories that ACT shoes to the FEDS to say" see we treat people right.". I'm sorry you don't like it but it's true. It's not that hard being a truck driver or running a business for that matter. What makes you guys think that your intelligence level is superior to mine. I was willing to go anywhere stay out as long as needed I was 100 on time 8.3 mpg ave. So 15-1600 miles a week is what they gave me. I get private messages from guys that are experiencing the same thing they just can't come out and go public. So good luck to you guys I really mean that. Be happy because you could have very easily been me. Just a stroke of the keyboard. That simple. Oh yeah like it or not it's a scam.

I agree with your statement's,and I also agree that ACT is making money off of me and my lease, they're a company and that's how you stay in buisness,by making profit. In America these day's alot of people think company's should'nt make profit, and it drives me nut's.I wish all those people would pack up and move to Europe and leave what made this great nation alone!

It's when it's goes to the extremes that hurts people in the end . There are decent LP programs but most are designed to fail

Interesting reading. I guess in your big conspiracy theory I would be one of the ringleaders of it right? I have been at ACT 16 months now and without recruiting money I would of averaged about $1300 a week. I was doing those numbers before ACT found out I was posting on this site. My second week here I ran 4100 miles. I had not even started posting here at that time because I did not start posting until a month after I started here. Tinman you are like the current President it is always somebody elses fault. I don't even know how you could be routed home every weekend unless you requested to be. I pretty much live in the same geographical area as you do and that dont happen to me very often.

Yeah ok man. Like I said before everything was there but the miles. I dint understand why some get the miles and some don't. It wasn't that I did anything wrong the miles were good for three months and the just stopped. I was told by others this happened to them. When I wasn't given the miles I needed and others are getting miles how else am I supposed to feel. Ok this is my last entry on this thread. I guess for some really intelligent truck drivers this is a great job and u r gonna get rich. But if u r an average everyday ordinary intellect type of guy BEWARE...good luck everyone.

Yeah I listened to you and basedmy descision to come to ACT partially on your words. And the fact that you are saying this supports everything I have said. You were also recruiter of the month when u got there. That's why I believe u r doing so well. Miles is the key, I didn't get them. I run 3200 miles very week now and the potential was here with ACT they didn't have the work for me I guess.

Again no dog in the fight ... BUT ... I also had no idea that the company - ACT - knew first hand that you were posting here daily with your numbers on Miles , Truck , Income .. Etc . I'll also now let you know a little secret . I went to a ACT orientation before any of you guys ever started this . I went in 2009 I was going to be a company driver .. Stayed at the Holiday Inn ate at the waffle house just across the parking lot heck I even went to Worlds of Fun Park ( I think that's the name ) ... Really cool people I'll give you that they had just finished that new shop on the corner when I went to orientation . They let me do the company thing all through orientation then at the end blasted me with why I needed to buy their truck and how much more I'd make etc ... When I still wanted to be company they tried some more .. Hey man stay up here another night well go to the park and let's talk about how I can help you make better money ... Here's what it was - let me give you 2-3 recruits and you'll be in better shape for a while then get this... I'll talk to your planners and make sure you get plenty of MILES ... Yep PLENTY of MILES ... Now in my class their was around 5 I think but I was the only one who tries to go company so in theory they had 4 lease and 1 company .. But they were dang determined to get 5 lease no matter what . They even marched me up front introduced me to the owners and boasted how they were transportation lawyers .. ( true - they are ) long story short and again I got no SKIN in the GAME cause I never took a job at ACT I bolted and decided to just take a position with a Yellow Freight owned company YRC but this was before they were falling under . .. Outside looking in I can tell you that YES .. Tinman. has very valid points on his thread and as to why he left or could not make it . If ACT has first hand knowledge you post here and post your numbers and they think for one second they can lease a truck out of it .. For sure they will be sure that you make it no way they let you fall because the recruiting honey whole will fall .. Now with that said I remember the recruiting office was located directly across from the orientation room and I know for dang sure they come in and greet you all ( that's fine ) but I also bet that they make mention to the threads on TTR now also as a recruiting tool . ( I could be wrong ) there are tons of new ACT threads on here why ? Because they mention it you have to almost be certain of it in orientation ... And if they don't somebody makes a point to drive down or call to be sure they know that they are posting on TTR .. ACT monitors this be certain of that . Tinman has valid points so for you guys ( the pioneers of ACT ) to come attack him for stating his facts as they pertain to his experience is not a very good thing on your part ( looking in ) contrary to popular belief everyone is not gonna make it in the LP at ACT and if they did they dang sure wouldn't be in every truck stop book with they guy with the thumbs up .. They only have 300-325 trucks if the LP grass was so green then why turn it over as much as they do ? I commend you guys for trying to get recruits and better yourselves and your families that's what we are all here to do .. Just don't get caught up in the hype .. Again I'm not bashing anyone I'm just trying to defend Tinman

When I say Hype .. I mean it's good for a while then it falls off . Ask BIG CAT how it's going at SWIFT now ? Oh wait that's right they parted ways cause they used him up .. He was the first real publicized social media trucker ... Remember seeing him all over the place Swift even decked him out a truck . Moral to my story is when the hype clears ... So may your miles , recruits , etc . Just be weary of that . The company is not going to let you in on the pie once you fail to hit numbers they will deem you a irrelevant recruiting tool and off you go .. Just ask BIG CAT
