I've been through Montana a lot and not just on 90. I just roll down my windows. In fact, winter or summer, rain or shine, I roll down my windows when I roll through a scale. Never a problem. I'm not saying it never will be, just never has been.

I see lots of trucks on my lanes (SE & MW mostly) with tint and don't get bothered and in my state they do like to bother people in cars with dark tint.

Its never the scales on90 . U gotta watch the small ones . The rickity POS that looks like its been there since the 1800s. Those are the scales out here that go looking for easy stuff. Just letting u know. Rolling down windows , good idea

What about just having the top 8 or so inches of your windshield done DARK.
And what percentage are you allowed on the side windows?

    86scotty and truckdriver31 Thank this.

    Windows come standard at 23%.

Rolling down the windows will be the first clue your hiding something.

My local tint shop charged me $200 to do my two side windows at 20% (I have the old school wing windows though) roll em down when backing up at night, roll em down depending on which coop I’m going through, if I have to scrape them off I’ll write off another $200 to have them redone when I get home, keeps the sun out and helps people mind their own business, if you get pulled in you are getting written up for something regardless
