I've driven thru Childress with my tints and never had a problem...but then again I may have just never been seen with them lol

I had my truck tinted, and two weeks later I rolled up on the scales at Riviera Texas with my windows rolled down. The inspector runs through the whole spiel and I think I'm good to go and he then says "roll up your front window for me",and I received a warning for the 45% tints.Well I havent removed them, but after reading this I am worried about that failure to comply ticket for $1100.How many tickets before I get that failure to comply?

Think I would've declined rolling window up. There is no requirement that it roll up.
I was asked a few times where I slept at. With which my reply was where is it a requirement to sleep just off duty for 10.

I don't mind the regs on the side windows. 70% is dark enough for me. I can barely see out of my classic as it is. I'm curious about a brow. I'd really like to do the brow across my windshield. Anyone have experience with a windshield brow tint?

I've seen plenty of trucks running those really low visors and wonder how much flack they catch.

70% is factory glass basically. Think you have it backwards.

I've seen 70% compared to just glass. There is a slight tint.

But, anyone have experience with the brows? I want it just a few inches lower than the in cab visors.

I want to say that I had received 4 previous tint tickets. 1 in KY, 2 in IN and one in PA. The failure to correct defects found on previous inspections was in MD and that officer was a complete prick and out to get me for whatever he could. All of these inspections were clean except for the window glazing.

That's funny I was going to say the same thing. I took temperature readings a couple years ago.
lite tinted versus non tinted are over 25 degrees different not to mention the damage sun dos to your left side over time.

There should be an ASI mark or little line it's a couple inches down from top that's as far as your supposed to go.
A good rule I use is fold the sun visor down and don't go below where it's coverage stops that would make a good legally defend-able line as the factory can obscure anything above it.
You have to take in consideration your dealing with people who couldn't do any other job than bothering people.

IIRC its 4 1/2 in. From top and bottom of windshield that your allowed. To play it safe I'd make sure it was outside the wiper swipe.
