Y'all are getting free CDL training, no one starts rookies at 42-CPM+ especially in brand new equipment, and the whole point of the LW program was a lot more loads from from our major clients - which we got. More loads means less sitting and more miles for company guys.
And all ya can do is whine. Pathetic.

There sure as hell ain't .05 cpm worth of 'comfort' in a condo over a lw tractor.
--Pack light.
--Be a bit creative with your storage.
--Put even more $ in yer savings account every week.
Or maybe you just wanted to come out here for a pleasure cruise? -
Whose whining?
-
Aside from the motor being a bit on the weak side, it's very possible to make it work. The extra .05 really does help.

How much more are you "really" making? Your driving a tiny lil truck, Thinking your making "good" money,
then run around @ 58 mph??
I make just as much, Driving a kenworth with a normal sleeper, has Full power to do the speed limit in a head wind, And i don't have e-logs either.
I don't need a giant sleeper, as i don't keep much in the truck, (No T.V., Microwave, Etc.) So i "could" make due with a LW as you guys call them... But i'd have to make VERY good money. In our business..TIME is money And running 55-58 mph is costing you time and $$$$ -
Not really, since we're planned at 45.
-
The bottom line is controlled by the fuel bill... speed and driving the broad side of a barn just don't cut it.
-
You're missing the point. In the context of this thread, it's irrelevant what you drive or how fast.
The bottom line is this. A company driver at Prime in a mini will, assuming a 100k mile year for simplicities sake, make 5k more than a company driver in a condo. A couple cabinets and what?, 3 square feet of 'comfort', oh! and don't forget the top bunk! I need that for when I have slumber parties! That's a trade off I'll take all day long.
As to time = money...in trucking? eh, not necessarily. -
Wat?
"Hi, FM, you do realize this truck only goes 57, right?" lol -
62... but that's on cruise.
-
Oh, the good old pick up friday morning and deliver monday afternoon 400 mile babysitter run.
