Tips and Tricks of flatbedding

I got the strap winder that runs down the side so forklifts and other idiots stop running them over. I gotta check craigslist for them blankets.

 

the felt stuff mercer sells is more like a scotchbrite pad woven like that but thicker , not like a solid felt pad .

 

Bungee cords are only needed if you do not want the tarp to shred itself to pieces or the tarp to slap a bald spot/hole on/in whatever it is slapping at 1200 slaps per minute.

Needed to get them tight.

A nice idea I did not think of.
I'm now gonna get a few the size of a pallet and keep my old flat tarps for back up.

Foam is nice if it will last a while.
I have used hose in the past.

I put the goggles in the hat and strap it to the bulkhead/back wall somewhere.
They do make a wall type bracket to hold them from wire.
I will be making a wire one as soon as our new truck gets here.

 

This is so you can put a strap where you have a stake pocket. I've used it a couple times.

I got that strap pusher that was in the link you posted. It works awesome for putting corner protectors on. I haven't used it to push straps yet.

 

I agree they are spendy. I would like to have another one but I'm not sure its worth the cost.

 

I'm not really sure they're worth any amount of money.
