I don't always pull oversize but I have quick connect flag holders on all my trailers and the front of my truck also my signs are the kind with eyelets on all 4 corners and in the center top and bottom. I took long bolts and put them through the backs of the trailers and the front bumper and put wing nuts on them so when I put my signs on I put the bolt through the eyelet and thread on the wing nut. Bam flagged and tagged in just a few moments

Mr. Griz, 281ric and MJ1657 Thank this.

I could but don't quite see how that is any different than a normal strap in that area. The back corners is where we need a strap holding down the insulation. Or we take a 2" strap and make an X cross the back.
I'm probably just being to picky in strapping down.

I no longer X strap the insulation loads either as I use a strap right at the very back stake pocket cross the back.

I kinda think it looks sloppy and if it comes loose, it comes off and dragging. Besides, I just don't like to use the 2" portable ratchet straps.

I carry a small hand saw with me. I loaded at a place one night just before they left for the day. I start securing my load and realized that a piece of dunnage had slid out a couple feet. The shipper had left and I was stuck. I beat on it with my hammer and bar for a long time until I finally got it to break off. I have used it to cut down dunnage and cut down chunks of 2x4 to make blocking.

wouldnt a 10 inch piece of 5/16 or 1/4 inch chain with 2 hooks do the same thing?

Hey Jumbo, Take another look at the pic yo posted with the chain end strap.
Did you see where the stake pocket has a weld starting to break lose where it's welded onto the main side of the trl?
