If you like the rope, you should try the actual bugee rope. It streches quite a bit futher, usually 2-3 times it's orginal lenght. I run the thru the tarp holes weaving thru my rub rails which holds quite tight to the deck and so easly removeable.

Mule tape is good to use and very strong. Only thing is when the tarp got wet we had to stop and retighten the mule tape but when it dried you could play the drums on it.

very light weight and very strong for it's size. Something like 1200 lbs for 1/2" wide tape. It is flat and very light weight.

no glue and we just used new pieces of the same material used for the tarp for the patches.

bunge rope is great, but tie it off on the tarp, not on the trailer hook. Especialy if you are going north. Think ice and snow.
ratchet winch bars always leave the handle hanging out
Call em what they are, Bug tarps. Trucks don't smoke anymore...or they shouldn't.
We don't insulate our winch bars in Canada. What?
Keep your hard hat on your head and your safety glesses on your face. That way when they find the body there may be some insurance for your signifigant other.

Oh man, wish I had the patent on hardhat's. I always smile a little when they're pulling something 20k or more off my trailer and someone reminds me to get my hardhat on.
