Securing your flags to an over sized load when all you have is a tire to secure it to. I do not like using magnets, have lost too many of them.
There are alot of posts on how to tarp. How about removing the tarps. What are some tips on how to remove tarps with 8 foot drops on steel. I have thrown straps over the load and used carabiners to connect the triangle to the D rings and pulled the tarp off like a giant curtain. Are there any other tricks or advice you could give on removing the tarps, thank you.
I usually just grab it from a corner, flick it to get some air under it and tug diagonally away from the opposite corner, then repeat as needed. My padding is usually strapped to the load so I don't need to worry about snagging on any edges. My straps are always under the tarp so I don't need to worry about tipping the load over pulling on the tarp.
the grab and t hook for auto haulers is 5/16 g70 the deere hook is 3/8 g80 http://www.truckntow.com/grab-and-t-combination-hook.html if you go to the link above and look for "Grade 70 Auto Hauling Chains With Grab Hook, R-Hook and Twisted T/J Combination Hook" you will find the j hook along with the hooks for most autos.
Kinda feel like I'm resurrecting a dead thread...but... are these the ones? I never even thought of them...I drove tow truck and used these all the time
No those are not t-j hooks. T-J hooks a small and usually have a ring or chain hook. These fit into the holes in frames on vehicles. I've seen them at Iowa 80. I'll try and get a pic. Soon
