I full twist whenever possible. Half twist still seems to result in vibration. Roping with a full twist it is rare to ever need to increase tension on the straps when I recheck the load.

I always half twist. And to take it a step farther I turn the twist towards the back of the trailers so that the wind doesn't catch it. Probably just me being OCD, but I've never had them start flapping.

Uhaul sells really good furniture pads..last time i checked they were 7.50 each..they are pretty thick and easy to bend fold etc

@Cheeseburgers has some for sale that are real good.

I hate to have to put blankets underneath on sharp edges. My freights all short haul. If I tarp n untarp it's as much time as driving.

"Ladies sanitary napkins" with the sticky edge for panty hose. Those work good for smaller less sharp points, and usually the self adhesive keeps them on without a bunch of duct tape and cursing.

20 ounce Gatorade bottles are good for nails and the like.

Most are clear so you can see what's in them quick. Has a lid to keep every thing inside.

Mounted a couple of boat cleats on my box to make it easier to strap my ladder down. Thought about an eye bolt but I figured this would put less stress on the box so it doesn't tear out or bend it. Idea courtesy of Cluck. IMG_20160123_161830675.jpg

The guy that drove this truck before me added a step to the mounting bracket for the side boxes on the truck.

It does help with getting up on the truck.

image.jpeg image.jpeg The boss saw that my edge protectors wouldn't stay stacked in the side box, so he made a couple of these from scraps in the shop.
