Smart. One of my boxes floods occasionally. Trying to figure out where it's coming in from or if the weather stripping had slipped off a little. I was thinking about drilling out some drain holes.

    Gotta love a good knot.

I use rope for my tarps, have used this knot for a long time.

I got me some safety approved sun glasses. Just wear them all time. Others are kept in the hard case in my door pocket. Vest and bucket ride in side box.

Flatbedding requires common sense. You can be trained all you want, but if you don't have common sense and good problem solving/improvisation skills you're gonna have a rougher time than usual. I've run all manner of flatbed freight. It's one of those jobs you either love it or hate it

Booked a load of tube steel the broker said needed tarping. I'd been to the same shipper about a month before and got the same stock with no tarp required going to a different receiver. When I called up the receiver to confirm last mile directions I asked if they needed it tarped, and they said "not on a beautiful day like this - just make sure it stays dry". Shaved a good 2 hours off my line 4 time, and kept my clothes clean enough I could wear them to trivia that night. It's so nice working with folks that have a grasp on common sense.

I always wondered if those blankets sold at Loves would be just good enough for a coil... Nope :D
