I did that 1 time and the ground was wet that day. The bar slid from under my foot and hit my shin, it hurt so bad that all I could do was just lay on the ground in pain. My shin was sore for about a week and a half. I learned my lesson and hope none of you have to learn it that way. There's no better way to learn a lesson than a bought lesson or 1 that ends in pain!!!

I was tired of dragging my chains up on to my cat walk to put them away in the headache rack. I built a divider/rack out of 1/2 plywood in my step box. It holds 4 8' chains with a grab and slip hook combo. These are my most used chains. It also holds 4 16' chains with 2 grab hooks. My ratchet binders hang on the two organizers. There's even room to hold 6 4" hand ratchets. 4 underneath of the ratchet binders and two on top.

Any pics on storing your coil racks? Have about 10. Prefer to see something in a side box. Was thinking about rigging something up to the top inside of the box so that they are out of the way. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

How do you want to load them in the box. Flat or on the side. With 10 racks, you may have to split them into 2 boxes.

Want to rig something that holds them on the top inside of the box. Yeah might have to use two boxes. Hoping not. I'll get around to it in the next day or so. Will post pics if it turns out decent

For coil racks i took 2 pieces of 1/8th inch thick bar stock, put them in a bench vise and put a very slight bend about 2 inches from the end. I bolted them to the trailer crossmembers back above my boxes. On the outside edge i drilled a hole through the steel bar and crossmembers for clips to keep the racks from sliding out.
