To the OP
which truck?
Which engine?
How high does the manufacturer say it can go in rpm's when using the Jake?
Did it go that high in rpm's before it upshifted? -
the clutch starts to work at about 700 rpm's so until you get good at it 2 foot your starts
it takes time to get that 700-900 rpm down, 700 it's moving slow 900 is way to fast
1st monteagle is a speed bump but with that said when you stop at the brake check station put it in manual with jakes and 4 ways on and then up-shift, with 45k in the box your speed should be 25....? let it roll up to 27ish then snub it down to 22ish... dont let the rpm get over 1900 -
There's not one in here.
It's a Mac truck the engine I believe they said is a mac. I have no clue about how high the manufacturers say the rpms can go.

So, you were at 10 mph at the start. What gear was the truck in at what RPM?
Now your doing 45 mph. What gear and what RPM was the truck at?
Did you put it in manual like you were told to? or were you told that after you had gone down the pass.
