Watch the turn table not the back axle when backing and always remember very small movements of the wheel.
Also, always make sure when you get out to bump the truck back to hook up with the button on back make sure the key is off otherwise when you bump it, it will fire up in reverse and run you over.

Yup just received word starting next week I'll be full time in the transfer. Nervous but excited. Local class a experience. Got a lot to learn and I'm sure it'll be frustrating for a while to say the least. Who else has driven these?

A couple times, but it wasn't my primary function with the company.. my primary was to run an RGN. Although I got bumped around as needed so much that I really don't know if I can call any of it my primary gig.

I drove what we called a body load pup with a 15 ft tongue, a low reverse helps I watched the front wheels of the pup kind of like pushing a wagon steering the front it was easier backing in a slight curve then straight, not bad when you got used to it. It sure was a good riding trk torsion bar suspension the only one I ever saw on a large car.

Wow, long time since I read this thread. It's been close to 4 years since I've been in a transfer but it looks like I'll be in one again soon. Same company. We have all kinds of construction trucks. I'm hopping all over this to get out of the night shift hauling bulk cement so I can see my wife and baby girl. Where are the transfer/dump truck drivers?
