Over a foot of snow falling and winter storm advisory in effect in Colorado and Wyoming right now. Winter may be over according to the calendar, but conditions can indicate otherwise. I've been in snowstorms in August in Wyoming.

That storm looks painless to me.

I've tossed some iron on the Fourth of July on Donner! Heh heh...student wasn't happy at all! Could have been worse...could have waited till we got to Phoenix. No student graduated to solo from my tutelage without chaining the rig (completely) at least 6 times!

I can just say that I had to chain up on I-70 coming back into Denver Saturday morning. There is a reason why cmv's are required to carry chains all the way through the end of May. Granted it wasn't that bad but still wet slushy slippery stuff. I still find it funny how many trucks pull over and wait it out. I was in out of the chain up in 15 minutes. I also run i-70 a lot and seem to hit every storm that blows through. Even more funny is most of them don't have haz-mat and don't need to tackle Loveland pass in a storm. That's a whole different animal.
