    Go digital. the stick ones are good, I have mine from 1968 and it still works great and is accurate but the new ones suck. I put digital ones in the trucks and they are the best one yet.

    Don't know how I'm breakingbthem. I keep them in the door pocket. The pop out gauges ,1 was way off in reading. Another started to leak air as the entire gauge extended . and my last just wouldn't come out properly (tire inflated not flat). The round dial gauge was junk from the start. Think I got it from Loves

    Do you have a model number. I'd have serious peace of mind if I'd be able to calibrate it.

    The one nax posted?

    -------------

    I don't mind spending a hundred on this if it keeps my tires where they need to be. Just need it to last and be spot on accurate

    Sorry i don't have a model number and its so old any numbers on the casing have long since worn off. Heck i don't even remember where i got it. i used snap on as an example of a quality tool that will last for decades. wasnt trying to say that's what mine was.

    Most of us can get away with cheap tools like craftsman and even harbor freights brand pittsburgh, but limit the cheap stuff to simple cast steel tools like sockets and wrenches. Anything with delicate and precision internals you really should buy quality.

    @BlackThought

    Here is mine.

    I service 2400-3000 vehicles a year at my shop, and 98% of these get tire pressure adjusted (up/down).

    This is how it's held up since 2013.

    Good thing is as a trucker, u may need to check pressure at nite. It has a "light" button to get a reading.

    Best tire gauge I ever bought for $100 from snap-on man.

    Another reason I got this was the new vehicles that come with real time tire pressure read-out.

    I no longer have to deal with nervous soccer-mom asking if the tire pressure is correct because their tire pressure sensor has crapped out and that "what-is-this-yellow-u-shaped-light" stays on

    Does the air gauge hold on to the valve or do you hold it on. And from the looks of it you can inflate and get reading at same time?

    So I'd he able to replace Chuck on my glad hand hose and save time?
