THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!
Thank you Brian. I was pretty sure there was something in writing, but I couldn't find it. I like that they shouldn't check unless it's visibly low. I am relieved. I won't sweat it when I get a trailer with 80 psi on a tire. Can't do anything at a meet.

If you roll across the scales in East Point, Kentucky on 23 you better have at least 75% of the recommended tire pressure or they’ll put you in time out…. -
I keep a 50’ hose and glad hand with a quick connect in my side box just for that, as well as using my 1/2” impact.
Bought the fittings but have not installed them to add a quick connect between the tandems or rear of the trailer so I can carry a shorter hose….MACK E-6 and Albertaflatbed Thank this. -
Just an idea for the slip seaters with thieves. Just toss into the cab on the passenger side, a rugged kit bag. You just take it with you to work every day and take it home. You can throw in all your work related things.
ducnut Thanks this. -
The pressure listed on the tire is max pressure for max weight, even tire manufacturers recommend running lower pressures for lower weights, for best tire wear. Running empty, I would say you could run as low as 50% of max pressure and still be within manufacturer recommendations.OLDSKOOLERnWV and Accidental Trucker Thank this. -
Yes Sir they checked mine with a gauge during an inspection, I don’t have any of the more modern inflation system on my rig to look at, so they did it the old fashioned way….m16ty Thanks this.
