Well that was hot as hell to walk on; I think I figured it out just from looking at it

Start carrying some tools with you when you get back home. Screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, socket set, hammer for banging in stubborn sliding tandem pins in when they're stuck. Those few things will go a long way for you in case you need them for minor repairs like putting on a missing mudflap, taking light covers off to fix a broken light, etc.. Oh and don't forget a 5th wheel pulling arm so you don't have to worry about getting all that grease all over you and can even help with installing tire chains during the snow!

@uncleal13 is correct about tire pressures. I run 120 on all my tires. All my tires wear perfectly even.
When a tire flexes, it builds heat. Heat causes blowouts. A semi tire can take upwards of 400psi before blowing, but 250 deg temps willl make it explode. Running a higher psi reduces flex and allows the tires to run cooler. All my tires are at 120psi cold. In the Tx heat, afted running loaded, my tires will only have expanded to about 130psi. I dont have any current temps because I lost my temp gun over a year ago and haven't replaced it.
But I invite anyone to run your tires at 100psi and check the temps after running all day loaded. Then air them up to 115-120psi and do the same thing. You'll see the temp swing from cold to hot is larger with less psi. And more than likely the tire will be hotter with less psi.farmerjohn64 Thanks this. -
Well I got it off of there, now I’m just having trouble airing it up. I connected the glad hand to the red glad hand and it’s not blowing out any air; I pushed in the red trailer air supply knob and after a bit it pops out saying “Trans Air Pressure Low Warning” on the dash; little help as to what I’m doing wrong?

Im just gonna say this. When yoh use that, remember to SET YOUR TRACTOR BRAKES. Because you have to release your trailer brakes for it to work.
Yes, I carry a glad hand air hose, no I have never had the truck start to roll away.
Edit: Brain fart. I fixed itLast edited: Jul 2, 2020

Sure you didn't get it backwards there? Set the tractor brakes (pull out) and release the trailer brakes (push in). Since it runs off your glad hand air is (or should be) supplied only when trailer brakes are released.farmerjohn64 Thanks this.

This is what I tried and it’s not working, I’ll give it another go though

You connected to the red line on the truck and not on the trailer, right?farmerjohn64 Thanks this.
