    I use an actual air gauge. Smacking your foot against it is a waste of time.

    I have one of those hose kits. I also bought an extension cord reel from Wal-Mart to roll it up with. Makes using it a breeze.

    Funny how so many say they guage the tires every day, yet I NEVER see it being done.
    Heck, most drivers do no pre-trip at all.

    I use a thumper whenever I hook, and every morning.
    And I have caught tires that were at 90 PSI or lower so many times.
    It's a sound and rebound thing.

    My very first day with my first mentor, he had me thump the tires. He said that 2 were low and he wanted me to identify them.
    I found three that were low.
    And that was my first time using a thumper.

    less than 80 PSI is considered a flat tire by the DOT. Look up the penalties for a flat when rolling through a scale...

    Putting a guage on each tire before rolling is like (keeping) money in the bank!
